YAY! for Aunt LaLa & Starting the New Year off SICK!

I just wanted to take a moment to tell Aunt LaLa, as she is affectionately known at our house, how proud we are of her. She ran and FINISHED a half marathon this Saturday. As if running in a half marathon is not great enought...it was also absolutely FREEZING outside. Mississippi is experiencing extremely cold temperatures and it has put us all in quite a shock. Laura did not let it phase her one bit...she ran that race with GUSTO! We are proud of you!

Love,
Sara Whit, Brian and Lilly

So far in the year 2010 we have been sick seven of the 10 days!! On NewYear's Day we were running a very high fever...that was it....just FEVER. We went to the doctor and had all kinds of blood work done and we even did a urine test to check for a urinary tract infection, but all turned out negative. We were sent home to treat the fever...with tylenol and cool baths. The "fever virus" lasted for 5 days. All Lilly wanted to do was sleep and lay around...just like we want to do when we have fever. The picture above shows her in her mama and daddy's bed...all sacked out!
The above picture shows her tuckering out after a few minutes of playing. That disheveled look with those fingers in her mouth is priceless.
She would play for a few minutes and be so happy and then she would have a sinking spell and want to go back to sleep.

Lilly playing with her new toys that she got for Christmas!

Just when our little girl was getting back to her old self...eating, getting into everything, crawling everywhere, standing up and taking a few steps here and there, she caught the stomach virus. This virus lasted about 7 hours of actual "throwing up", but let me tell you, it was TERRIBLE. It was so pitiful to see her so sick and not know what was going on. It took her about 3 days to get her strength back and her normal patterns back to normal.....and as we all know the stomach bug spreads like wild fire...so 2 days later...Brian and my Mom....were sick with the "bug" too. SHEW....we are sick of being sick!!
But I am PRAYING that as I type this Sunday afternoon, we are going to start our week and our new year off WELL and HAPPY!
